Two weeks in

Sooo... I figured it was time for an update.

I am 2 weeks into my first semester for school. I am loving it! This time is different I can feel it. I am doing really well in my math class so far. That is the class that I am worried about. My computer apps class is going well. I knew I would do good in that class lol. My critical thinking class is ok lol, its not my favorite so we'll see how it goes. And my human dieses class doesnt start till July.

With school and still working the same hours I have been pretty busy. I have been really homesick. I really do miss Oregon A lot!!! I cant wait till I can go back and visit. And who knows maybe after all of this I just might end up there for good!

I really hope that I will do well. I really want to this time. Now that I actually know what I am going for.

Other than school starting there isnt really anything exciting goin on with me.

Tanning, Taxes & Tests Ohh My!

So I went tanning today for the first time. It was a lil weird haha. I cant tell a difference yet though lol. Im going back tomorrow so we'll see... At least I didnt get burnt right?

I finally got my taxes sent today. It was kinda stressful gettin them done. I had mailed them to my step-mom cause she was going to do them. She got them done like 3 weeks ago she just had a lil bit to finish on them. She put them in the trunk of her car along with hers. Well some person hit her car one day and jammed the trunk! just my luck! So needless to say they had deal with insurance companies and what not. She finally got them out yesterday! Then we had to figure out a way for me to get them so I can sign and what not. Lucky we got that all figured out. I am sooo happy to have the done now!

I also took my reading test at school today and I got an 81! Which means I dont have to take any reading classes. So now the only class that I do have to take is a math class, which I knew I would have to take because I pretty much suck at math! The rest of my classes are going to be for the program that I am in.

I am really excited about starting school again, and meeting new people. Pretty much anyone I know is from work. And most of those people are older then me and what not. So it will be nice to meet people my age.

Im going to New Mexico in July for my step-brothers wedding. I am really excited about that. I miss my other family lol. And I get to be in the Wedding! Its been so long since I have actually been in a wedding!

Easter Sunday!

So, many of you know that when you move into a new branch or ward that you automatically get picked to give a talk in Sacrament meeting. Well I moved into my new branch back in Sept. and I have yet had to give a talk.... well thats about to change. I get to speak on Easter Sunday of all Sunday's. I am soooo nervous, its been a while since I had to give a talk... I hope I will do well. Something about speaking on Easter Sunday is a little intimidating. Just thought I would share my thoughts hahah. Wish Me Luck! I'll need it!

Its Time

I guess I should update this thing. I dont remember what I wrote last and am too lazy to go back and read it hahaha

My mom is still here she leaves on the 31st. Its been good to see her, and brother. There has been some drama of course, but I dont really feel like gettin into that.

Work has been going good. I took a supervisor test last Saturday and I passed it. So we'll see what happens with that. I really like my job and the people I work with.

School is coming a long. I take a Accuplacer test tomorrow, and registration begins on Monday!

Church is good. I have to give my first talk in this branch on Easter Sunday!!! I am sooo nervous. Its been a while since I have had to speak...

I think thats about it for now... I hope to become better at this whole blogging thing... not that i know of very many people who read this hahaha night!

Recent Happenings

Well, On Sunday I just found out that my Grandma might have breast cancer... We wont have the results for 2 weeks!

On the Plus side, my mom and brother MIGHT be flying out here next week! If they do they will be here on Wednesday!

Which brings me to my next point... next weekend in the Worlds Largest Rattlesnake
Round-Up, which happens to take place in the small town of Sweetwater, where i reside lol, Thursday is the Miss Rattlesnake Pagent thing they do. This is going to be the 50th year of the round-up and all the past 50 winners are going to be there, except for one....
My Aunt!!! She passed away a little over a year ago. Last year they did a special tribute to her. This year they are going to do something else. I'm not sure what exactly. I just know that the lady in charge of it wanted to make sure that there was going to be family there.

I really hope my mom and brother can come next week. I have seen them in over a year.

Tire, Glasses and More Oh My!

So today I did not have to be at work till later in the evening, so I decided that I would run some errands.

First on the list go to Wal*Mart (I practically live there haha) I needed to get a gift card so I can get 3 cents off for gas lol, then I had to get some decorations for the youth dance this weekend. Of course I had to go see my "friend" hehe, we talked for a while.

Then I went by this tire to see how much a tire was going to cost me. I few weeks, well more than a few weeks ago I got a flat tire, so i've been on my spare for some time now. They quoted me about $75. I told them I had to run a few more errands and that i would possibly be back. Well the guy asked what was wrong with my other tire and I told them that something had happened to the side of it and that they people at Goodyear told me it wasnt repairable. He asked if he could take a look at it and I said sure. I left the tire with him and ran the other errands that I needed to run. I came back and he FIXED IT! I was sooo surprised and happy! And it only cost me $20. Stupid Goodyear tired to rip me off!

Now, about my glasses. I had lost them like a week ago. I could not find them anywhere. I was freaking out. Today when I got of work my sister asked if I could get some stuff for her and of course I said yes. I was driving home and she called me and asked me if my glasses were brown and I said yes. Then she said that the neighbor brought some over and asked if they belonged to my nieces and my sister said no, and just as she was gonna leave my sister remembered that I had asked her if she had seen my glasses. So she kept them, When I got home to look at them they were MINE! lol i was sooooe excited. It is soo hard for me to drive at night without them. I got lucky too.

Anyways today was a great day! I am sooo excited for Friday cause both the boy and I are off and we get to hangout yay!

Mutual

Well tonight I was in charge of mutual. I was freaking out cause it happended at the last min. I had to come up with a new idea of what to do.

So I called my friend Brandon freakin out. He then suggested games. That was the greatest idea.
I bought Apples to Apples cause that game is fun.

I wasnt sure how it was going to go, but it went really well. My niece even went with me.

Sooo I owe a BIG THANK YOU to Brandon!!! your the best! that is why we are friends lol!

New Phone Less Computer

Well it seems that since I got my new phone I get on the computer less.

There really isnt anything new. My step-mom moved to Colorado in Dec. My parents put the house for rent in Oregon, here is the link if you would like to see it

Anyways my parents are buying a house in Colorado. I am excited to see it and hopefully will get to go visit soon. I am happy to have my step-mom closer to me.

Teaching

Sooo for those who dont know, not that very many people read this haha, I am in the Young Women's Presidency in my branch. Right now we do not have a president so its just the 2 counselers. Anyways, we are such a small branch and only have 4 young women. Well tonight we decided that it would be better to teach the 2 younger ones together and the 2 older ones together. I really wanted to teach the 2 younger ones, because I felt that I would do better. However the other gal that I serve with asked if I would teach the two older ones. I said yes of course. I am nervous though about it. I hope that I will teach them what they need to know and will gain a lot from it. They are both graduating this year, so its their last year in Young Womens.

The missionaries have only been here for a week and a half and already they are doing amazing in this area. When I first moved here we didnt have any missionaries assigned to this area. Last week that changed and they opened up this area. I hope that I will be able to help the missionaries. Thats all for now... I should get some sleep!

Cell Phone

So I don't know how many and who actually reads this, but....

If you didn't already know, my niece broke my phone on Halloween. So I have been without a phone since then. Its been really hard. Especially since I had just moved and what not. I have not been able to keep in touch with some people that I would have liked to.

So the point of this blog was to inform people that I should be getting a phone on Thursday. Provided I can. I heard today that Alltel is beginning its merger with Verizon this week. So Alltel is switching all their systems and stuff. But I am keeping my fingers crosses. That's all for now...

I HATE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

So I have been trying to get financial aid for school and I am having a hard time doing it. I found out today that the Federal Government still considers you dependent on your parents till your 24. Even if you have lived on your own for 3 years, and they aren't paying anything towards college.

This is so frustrating to me !!!!!!

So now I need to figure out what to do now!

Flat Tire and Missionaries

So yesterday I realized that I need to learn how to change a flat tire.

I was on my way to work and my car sounded really odd, it was making this loud noise that I had never heard before. I kept going, but I pulled over and got out to see what it was. It turned out that my front passanger side tire was flat. I opended my trunk and got everything out that I would need to change my tire. I looked at the flat tire and thought to myself, wow I have never done this before. I freaked out a little, but then I saw this guy getting gas. I walked over to him and asked if he could help me and he did. I was lucky he was there to help me and that he was willing to help me.

Now, about missionaries, the town I live in is really small, and there arent very many members of the church here. When I moved here and started going to the branch there were no missionaries here. The branch president told us at one point there were missionaries here at one point, but that it has been a very long time. Needless to say that this area has been closed for some time now.

Well today our branch president announced that we will be getting 2 full-time missionaries this coming week. The stake president and mission president will be here next sunday to open up this area again.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Well today was my 22nd birthday! I cant believe it. it seems so odd lol.

I used to think that being 22 was so old haha, but now I know it isnt =)

At the begining of the day I was kinda sad cause I didnt have any of my friends around, nor did I have a cell phone(my niece broke it on halloween) But as the day went on I was fine. I had my family with me which I havent had this much family with me on my birthday in a very long time so it was nice. They really helped me have a good birthday.

I then got to go to mutual and help the Youth decorate the hoyt house for Christmas. I really enjoy workin with the Youth. =)

Thankful

Well I had really great Thanksgiving. It was my first Thanksgiving in Texas in a very long time. I can't even remember the last time I was in Texas for a Thanksgiving.

I loved being with my family and just relaxing and watching the game.

However, I did miss my mom and brother, its been a while almost a year I guess now since I saw my mom last. I still talk to her a lot, but not as much as I used too. I guess the time difference has a big affect on that.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Football Game and Car Title

Yay im so excited that Sweetwater won their game last night! next week we get to play either Liberty Hill or Vernon. Liberty Hill is suppose to win state, we'll just have to see about that! Good thing the game is on Saturday @ 5:30 in Brownwood or Breckenridge depending on who wins tomorrow.

I finally got my car registered here in Texas, and for the first time the license plates on my car match the state that I am living in haha. It was a big mess to get straightend out but after a month its all taken care of. I am so thankful to my dad for paying off my car, and paying 3 months of my insurance. I love you dad.

Drug Test

Well today I had to take a drug test... which was interesting to say the least. Hopefully it all turns out well, which it should, I could have a new job. yay. Not that im not happy with the job that I have now, it just is better pay. So we will see what happens with that

So im excited for mutual tomorrow, we are doing pudding pictionary which is an idea that i got from something we did for fhe. Hopefully they have fun.

I am excited for Thanksgiving, it will be my first Thanksgiving in Texas and man I dont know how long, its been forever though I know that.

Weekend

So, last night i went out with my some of my family bc today is my counsins birthday. I told my aunt that i would only go for a little while for a couple of reasons, one i was not feeling well, and two i dont really like the place that they went, lots of drinking and what not. So my aunt calls me around 9 to see if i could pick her and her boyfriend up, and I do. However, after i relized that i was stuck, and that i couldnt leave when i wanted to. I guess i could have, but i would have felt bad. So needless to say i was not happy, and didnt have a very good time, and I am very tired and sick today. I still made it to church, which was good, it was hard to pay attention between my throat hurting and being soo cold. Now i believe that i am headed to my aunts
